The UANL Tigres defeated the Águilas del América by Spanish coach Ángel Villacampa this Friday, to take the lead in the final of the Mexican women’s soccer league, in a match that broke the attendance record for the competition.
Jacqueline Ovalle scored for the felines in the first leg of the final they entered 52,2018 fans to the stands of the Azteca Stadium, an amount that exceeded the previous mark, the 51,654 people who attended the BBVA Stadium for the return match of the final of the Clausura 2018 in which the Tigres beat the Rayadas del Monterrey.
The Águilas were superior to the Tigres in the first half, by attacking from a left wing that included Scarlett Camberos and Nicolette Hernández.
At the minute , Hernández outwitted his marker and entered the area to cross a low cross that Katty Martínez crashed into the right post of goalkeeper Cecilia Santiago.
