Ten days after its release the album Midnights by Taylor Swift has reached number 1 on the Top chart 200 of Billboard magazine (for the weekend of November 5), achieving sales of more than a million and a half units only in the United States.
With this, the singer has held that position eleven times, and now shares that record with Barbra Streisand.
Midnights was supported by a large advertising campaign, is available in both standard and deluxe formats and has so far released two singles: “Bejeweled” and “Anti-Hero” ; The video clip of this last theme had an edition after its premiere due to a sequence that shows the singer standing on a scale that showed the word “fat”.
Taylor Swift tops year-end music releases globally, and Midnights is one of the three best-selling albums by 2022 in the United States, the other two being Harry’s house, British singer Harry Styles, and A summer without you, by the Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Bad Bunny
