Lula da Silva defeated Jair Bolsonaro and will be president of Brazil again

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva obtained the 50.86% of the votes, consummating his return to the presidency and after the second closest round in the country’s history, defeating the current president Jair Bolsonaro.

With this result, Bolsonaro became the first Brazilian president not to be re-elected.

For his part, Lula da Silva will have his third stage in power after his two terms above, at 2003-2010.

After confirming the victory, the leader of the Workers’ Party (PT) used his social networks to publish the word “Democracy”, next to a photo showing his hand and the Brazilian flag.

Luiz Inacio Lula da Silv a managed to consummate his return to power after circumventing his stay in prison, but after the annulment of his sentence by the supreme court, this Sunday he faced his sixth presidential election, against the current president, Jair Bolsonaro.

Twice president between 2003 and 2010, Lula left power with a popularity of almost 90% after a management in which 30 millions of the more than 200 millions of Brazilians came out of poverty.
