The father of the mayor gunned down in Guerrero had ties to Los Tequileros, the group that killed them

After the terrible massacre in the community of Totolapan, Guerrero, it was revealed that members of the criminal group Los Tequileros were responsible for this attack.

This organization gained relevance a few years ago for engaging in kidnapping, extortion and collection of fees in the Sierra region of Guerrero, including the town of Totolapan.

Furthermore, after the death of Mayor Conrado Mendoza, a social networks a video dating from 2015 in which Juan Mendoza, father of the deceased municipal president and who in the past also governed that town, met with members of Los Tequileros.

In the images, the former mayor appears living with the criminals, who even tells them no he is going to fail them and together they will be invincible, after the criminals remind him that they made him win the election.

This is how the PERREDISTA Juan Mendoza Acosta assured them, today killed in Guerrero together with his son Conrado Mendoza, current municipal president, to “the tequila makers”, that he would never fail them and that together they would be invincible.

In this way, there is a version of an alleged link between the criminal group and Juan Mendoza, who died in the armed attack along with his son and current mayor, Conrado Mendoza, and 16 more people.

The group of Los Tequileros, whose name is due to their taste for that drink, has about 150 members, and maintain a fight for the region with the cartel of La Familia Michoacana.

Although in 2016 were considered one of the most violent criminal groups in Guerrero, in 2018 versions emerged of its dismantling, after its main leader, Raybel Jacobo de Almonte, was killed in a confrontation with members of the United Front of State Community Police of Guerrero in the mountains of Tlacotepec.
