The Mexican boxer Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez , forgot for a moment about his fight with the Kazakh Gennady Golovkin, because he made himself known who is going to be in the “Creed III” movie, which is a spin-off of “Rocky”, a series of tapes starring Sylvester Stallone.

The news surprised fans of the film and those of the Mexican boxer, who is one of the most recognized in the sport.

Canelo Álvarez has become known for his skills in the ring, which will show again this Saturday 17 of September in his fight against Gennady Golovkin III (GGG), where he will seek the Zapotec Jaguar Warrior belt. However, his skills as an actor or performer have never been seen, so this will be an opportunity to see him develop another facet.

Michael B. Jordan, who plays the protagonist Adonis Creed, confirmed through his Instagram stories that Canelo Álvarez will have a special appearance in the third installment of the spin-off of the saga starring Sylvester Stallone, who became famous thanks to his character Rocky Balboa, and who now passes the baton to the actor from 35 years.

“Directing the legend by herself, Canelo Álvarez, in Creed III. I can’t wait for the world to see the star inside the ring and out on March 3rd… Welcome to the family, good luck this weekend!” , Jordan wrote to accompany the photo that was reposted by the boxer himself also on the Meta platform, where he moved his more than 08.4 million followers.

The image is a collage of two photos, in the first the boxer and the Hollywood actor appear on what appears to be a recording set and looking at a of the cameras. In another of the postcards, they both embrace fraternally, while there are more people in the background. Unfortunately, neither the movie star nor the Mexican athlete gave details of what character Saúl Álvarez will play.

In the images, both are seen with formal clothing, so they imply that the scene was not about a recording set, however, there are still no details if Canelo will be present for a few seconds on the tape or will embody a character, with which he would mark his debut on the big screen.
