Mexican engineer created a robot capable of turning air into drinking water

Vita Gabriela Galindo, a Mexican engineer expert in robotics, managed to build a machine capable of converting air into drinking water. The prototype allows the ambient air to condense in such a way that it can be transformed into water.

The engineer says that using your prototype can produce 35 liters of drinking water daily. He explained that the idea of ​​creating the robot arose out of necessity and that in the state of Nuevo León where he lives there is currently a serious problem with the water supply.

“The creation of this robot arises from the problems that the state is going through, I It took a month and a half to make the robot”, he pointed out.

He argued that it took him a short time to build his prototype because he had previously assembled three other robots, from which he had managed to learn thanks to the mistakes made. He commented that currently he is seeking the collaboration of a laboratory that can carry out the necessary tests on the water in his machine in order to be able to affirm without a doubt that it is water 100 % drinkable.

“The robot has filters integrated, I am looking for a laboratory to do an exam to have a certificate that the water is drinkable. It does not solve the problem, but it can help”, he said.

He hopes that his robot can help as much as possible, however , is aware that it is very unlikely that this could become the solution in the medium or long term.

Indicated that his main goal was to help his family to have a water supply, especially at a time when the drought suffered by the state is wreaking havoc throughout the region. He says that he would like to be able to help more people in his community, however, he does not have the necessary resources to do so.

Galindo says that his prototype was possible thanks to a friend who lent him the necessary money to be able to buy all the pieces and components that he required . For all this is expecting that some private company wants to invest in the project to be able to make it grow and thus build a larger team

“I am open to any opportunity. The cost has not been defined, since as it is a prototype it is trial and error, a friend lent me money to be able to do it. I want to help more people, I don’t have the resources to replicate it and take it to all families”, he indicated.
