Residents of Wellesbourne Place, Norris Green, in the United Kingdom, heard a piercing scream when a dog launched against the child on Saturday night 13 of August.
From the tragic encounter a child of 4 years old was seriously injured after the Bullmastiff breed dog savagely mutilated him
, so he had to be transferred to a hospital with very serious injuries
Apparently the child, whose name was not released , had been visiting a friend’s house when he was attacked.

In the middle of the attack, a neighbor noticed the attack and managed to get the boy away from the dog, however, the minor’s injuries were already serious.
According to local media, the incident is not the first dog attack on Wellesbourne Place in the last years. In December 2016, a five-year-old girl was mutilated inside a relative’s house, causing injuries to her head, neck and hand.
Following the attack, officers seized the dog and arrested a woman from 31 years of Norris Green under suspected of being in possession of a dangerously out of control dog
Detective Inspector Chris Hawitt recounted: “The incident left a young child with injuries severe injuries to the face and head, and it must have been an extremely distressing incident for everyone who witnessed it.”
He added: “I would like to congratulate the neighbor whose quick and selfless thinking and actions probably saved the life of this child, who suffered life-changing injuries,” he said.
Investigations into the full circumstances of the incident are still ongoing.
