At least 14 were injured when a car crashed and caught fire in a bar in Virginia

At least 14 people were injured after a car crashed into a restaurant bar and caused a fire in Arlington County in Virginia on Friday, reported the authorities on Twitter.

Paramedics took 8 people to hospitals and 4 of them were seriously injured, Arlington County Police in Virginia said . The other 4 patients have injuries that are not life-threatening, according to police. Medics treated six other people at the scene and all are fine, police said.

A spokesperson for the fire department told NBC News in Washington that the accident occurred around 6: 45 pm and firefighters arrived at the bar to find it engulfed in flames. The fire has now been extinguished, the fire department said.

The firefighters also assured that the fire was controlled and still The cause of the crash is being investigated. The identities of the injured have not been revealed.
