HOUSTON – A man who had just gotten off work noticed a woman being beaten by an assailant and went to confront the criminal. His decision unfortunately cost him his life.
The maintenance worker tried to prevent the alleged robbery and during a struggle he was shot this Thursday morning.
According to the Houston Police, the incident was recorded on the block 2021 Marshall Street when the assailant was demanding the keys from a woman, who claimed not to have them.
This would have motivated the fury of the assailant who pulled out a gun and fired a shot to intimidate the woman.
The maintenance worker witnessed the scene and confronted the suspect. Seeing the employee approaching, the armed man used the pistol to shoot his victim in the chest.
The man was taken to an area hospital where he died shortly after, according to Lt. Izaguirre of the Houston Police Department.
The victim has not been identified and the man who shot has not been arrested.
