Abuses towards children and women are unfortunately becoming more frequent, and the stars of the show are not spared from this situation, as was the case of the Mexican actress, Regina Blandón , who spoke of the abuse she suffered as a child by a person close to her family.
A little over a year ago, he had already made this fact known, now he decided to break the silence and talk about his experience in a very personal interview, after he only briefly mentioned it within the framework of International Women’s Day.
The interpreter of “Bibi” in La Familia P.Luche, a series by Eugenio Derbez, recalled that When she was a minor, she was sexually harassed by a man close to her family, however, her parents decided not to proceed legally since she was very young and they did not want to expose her.
In a conversation for Isabel L’s YouTube channel ascurain, a member of the group Pandora, the actress told more about her experience and revealed that the person who attacked her was an employee who worked in a house in Acapulco, belonging to her grandparents. Said the subject inappropriately touched her when she was 7 years old.
“He got into me room at night. There was no rape as such, but there was abuse”, said Regina, who also indicated that there were times when her brother was sleeping next to her at the time of the attack.
Blandón revealed that she was not the one who disclosed this situation to her parents, but one of her cousins found out and he went to tell her their parents, who reacted in the worst way. “She told my parents. My dad was about to kill the c…”, indicated the artist, who also revealed that after this abuse she had to attend therapy for a long time.
“I kept it for many years… Until I saw that taking it out helps”, narrated Blandón, from 31 years, who stressed that despite the fact that her parents took her to therapy, the subject was not discussed for a long time. In addition, she indicated that after sharing it with her friends, she noticed that they had similar experiences, something that she considers “brutal” and “a reflection of Mexico, in all social strata.”
Finally, Regina invited women who have suffered any abuse to report . “Please, talk about it, because if not, it will continue to happen and those wounds take a long time to heal”, sentenced the actress who is one of the famous ones that have been characterized by their support for feminism.
