“Patón” Guzmán took the spotlight that night at the University Stadium. The feline group tried to appeal their sanction before the Liga MX Disciplinary Committee , but the punishment was ratified .
“It is reported that in relation to the Investigation Request for a possible Manifest Error of the Referee , submitted by Club Tigres de la UANL, once the related investigation has been carried out with the expulsion of Player Nahuel Ignacio Guzmán Palomeque (…) and after having analyzed the corresponding play , as well as having assessed the evidence and other documents provided, it is determined that said request is not admissible , therefore the player will not be able to participate with his team in his next official match of the LIGA MX “, informed the entity.
Why was Nahuel Guzmán expelled?
“Patón” starred in a play with a second ball that I was on the field. The goalkeeper of Tigres de la UANL cut off an Atlas counterattack by kicking this second ball right in the place where the play was taking place
. This action paved the way for him to be expelled.
On the other hand, the Disciplinary Commission also identified the person who threw the second ball onto the field of play. This is the Atlas kinesiologist, Gustavo Witte. The member of the red and black team was also punished with two games of suspension.
