The star Mexican pitcher Julio Urias suffered this Wednesday his fourth loss of the season as the Dodgers fell by a losing streak against the Nationals. The native of Sinaloa had an outstanding performance and pitched for a space of six innings in which he allowed only four hits, despite his brilliant presentation, the bats of his teammates did not respond and Urias had to take the loss.

The winning run for the Nationals was the product of a walk by Urias to Víctor Robles and two subsequent hits that propelled Robles himself to the plate to score the only run of the match. It should be noted that Julio Urias gave three walks and struck out three batters. In total he had 89 pitches and counted 54 strikes.

For the Nationals the victory was led by Erick Fedde who was also able to complete six innings with a performance of four hits and six strikeouts. The save game went to Tanner Rainey. It should be noted that the winning hit was driven by the Venezuelan César Hernández.

Effectiveness of Julio Urias

Julio Urias’ numbers continue to be more than interesting, which is why he continues to be an important piece in manager Dave Roberts’ rotation. Unfortunately luck has not exactly been the best ally of the Mexican pitcher despite being part of a team that leads its division and has great aspirations to reach and win the World Series since they have one of the best named teams in the entire MLB.

After this defeat, Julio Urias has dropped his earned run average to 2.49. His record after the loss to the Nationals is three wins and four losses. The Dodgers continue to lead the National League West Division with a mark of 29 trumps and 14 loses 1.5 games to the San Diego Padres who have 28 triumphs and 16 falls.

The Dodgers will start their next series in Arizona and the Nationals, for their part, hope to receive the ninth from Colorado . Julio Urias’ next challenge is scheduled for 30 or 31 in May and it will be at Dodger Stadium when his team hosts the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Aztec pitcher will hope to have better luck since this loss against the Nationals represented the fifth time that the offense did not respond to him.
