Soccer player Eduardo Herrera decided to end his career on the pitch of game. The Mexican from 33 years he remained active with the Venados Fútbol Club de Yucatán, after wearing historic jerseys of the Aztec country league, including a spell in Scotland.
The player’s retirement was announced by him through his social networks. It should be noted that Eduardo Herrera did not win any title, however he lived through interesting moments in his career as an active soccer player. Despite how early his retirement may seem, the former player can tell that he wore important jerseys of more than one major in the Mexican league.
The gratitude of Eduardo Herrera
It should be noted that Eduardo Herrera was trained in the basic forces of the National University Club, and it was in the 2007 when he climbed to the first team. In 2015 he had some calls with Pumas Morelos of the First Division A, scoring 20 goals in a total of 89 meetings.
“With deep gratitude and satisfaction I want share with you that I have decided to close my stage as a professional soccer player”, the soccer player wrote on his Instagram account.
But the thanks did not stop there , Herrera also referred to all that s who believed in his throughout his career. “Thanks to all the coaches who trusted me, especially Memo Vázquez for allowing me to debut at Pumas. To Miguel Herrera for giving me the opportunity to represent my country and Pedro Caixinha for giving me the confidence I needed at Santos and later in Europe with Rangers”, he wrote.
