Matías Almeyda gave his forecast for the match between Argentina and Mexico at the Qatar World Cup and announced who will qualify in said group

The Argentine strategist Matías Almeyda, who currently manages AEK in Athens, but who was in Mexican soccer for a long time, dared to predict what will happen in the World Cup match between Argentina and Mexico Qatar 2022 and also dared to comment on which teams will qualify in group C.

And it is that during an interview granted for Fox Sports, Almeyda commented that the ‘Tri’ and the ‘Albiceleste’ will end up tying their match and that after the three days of group phases, the two American teams will advance to the round of 16.

“Argentina and Mexico are both going to go through, they both have to go through. A draw and both pass”, commented the DT.

During the interview, ‘El Pelado’ also acknowledged that he misses Mexico, since he lived many years of his life there where he met people who marked his life, both personally and in football.

“He is very missed, three and a half years have passed and the memory of having lived in Mexico at a family level, friends I have made outside of football and at a sports level I have missed him, I am not going to say no ”, commented Almeyda.

Finally, he recalled his last stage with Chivas and confessed that it was not a good season and explained the reason why he left Liga MX aside and turned exclusively to the Concachampions .

“My last tournament was not good, another title was being played, which was the Concachampions which was not to be underestimated because it was one of the few trophies that Chivas lacked in the showcase and there was no team to play two tournaments, that was the end,” he concluded.

Argentina and Mexico will face each other in the World Cup in Qatar on 26 of November on the second day. Saudi Arabia and Poland are the other two teams that complete group C.
