He missed the flight: The unusual reason why “Tecatito” did not report with the Mexican team

Juan Chourio

The Sevilla footballer, Jesús Manuel Corona, was unable to reach the concentration of the Mexican team because he missed the flight from Spain to the United States.

Initially, the idea was for ‘Tecatito’ to arrive in Dallas this Tuesday and join the national team, however , the Sevilla footballer could not take the corresponding flight, so his arrival in the United States will take place on Wednesday.

Other not yet incorporated to the team is Héctor Herrera who should also arrive this Wednesday, however, his arrival could be extended until 30, but his case is different from that of ‘Tecatito’, since HH had a couple more days to solve the final details of his move to Houston for what will be his new adventure in the MLS.

With almost the entire squad concentrated, there are few elements that are missing to complete the call, being Julián Araujo one of them, since he still has to fulfill commitments with the LA Galaxy and Pachuca players who have the Clausura final 2022 against Atlas.

The Mexican team, coached by Gerardo Martino, will play three friendly matches, starting with Nigeria on 28 in May, and will then face Uruguay on June 2 and will close on June 5 against Ecuador.

These matches will serve to evaluate details about the players who may be present at the World Cup in Qatar and also to maintain the pace, taking into account that the Concacaf Nations League will start next 10 June when the ‘Tri’ plays at home against Suriname.
