The telenovela starring Carmen Villalobos and Sebastián Martínez, “Until Silver Do Us Part

“, has a whole group of funny characters. One of the most iconic in history is “La Generala” who in this new version is played by Marcela Benjumea.

“La Generala” Martha Patricia Roncancio is a woman with a very strong presence, feminist, socialist and trade unionist. She is a militant of labor justice, always attentive to any mistreatment by the employer to organize a lawsuit, a union or a strike. She is an advocate for lost causes and gender equality. As a seller, her intention is to persuade the buyer not to spend her money unless it is strictly necessary, since for her there are cheaper and more ecological options, such as walking. Although she is criticized a lot for working in such a materialistic and sexist environment, she is firm in her intention to dismantle the system from within.

“Until Silver Do Us Part” tells the love story of Rafael Méndez (Martínez ), a charismatic and humble merchant, and Alejandra Maldonado (Villalobos), a successful high-ranking executive; who meet by accident causing a clash of emotions that will end up turning their lives upside down completely.

The star cast also includes Gregorio Pernía (This is how you dance, Without Breasts If There Is a Paradise) and Juliette Pardau (Falsa Identidad, La Nieta Elegida) as antagonists, and has the special participation of renowned Mexican actors Alejandro Tommasi

(Wanting Everything, For Loving Without Law) and Laura Flores (My Perfect Family, Señora Acero), together with Stephania Duque (End of Paradise, The Chosen Granddaughter), Fabián Ríos (100 Days to Fall in Love, End of Paradise), Julián Arango (I am Betty, la Fea, Narcos) and Lorna Cepeda (I am Betty, la Fea, Pa’ Quererte). The series will air on Telemundo this year.
