The Mexican Kenti Robles, player of the Real Madrid, said this Monday that they have to “put the shield” of the club “where it deserves” and that the fact of wearing the white shirt in the women’s soccer section is “a privilege” and something “unthinkable” for her when she was little.

“We promise to give everything on the pitch. We just started, but we have to put this shield where it deserves. We like the responsibility that comes with being at the best club in the world. You have to prove it in every training session”, she said during the ‘Luis de Carlos Forum: 120 years of Legend. Sport for all’, organized by the Real Madrid Foundation.

“ I was born in Mexico and Real Madrid is crazy there. As a child, it was something unthinkable; it is a privilege”, he stated.

In addition, the winner of the I EFE Trophy for the best Latin American player in 2020, urged the youngest to follow in her footsteps: “ Women’s soccer is present and future. Let the girls chase their dream. I am not only an example for girls, but also for boys”.

An event organized in person again after two years carried out telematically due to the coronavirus pandemic in which Ana Rossell, director of the Real Madrid Women’s Football section, was also present at the table, along with club legends such as Emilio Butragueño, Raúl González or Felipe Reyes.

“We only have two years of history of those 120, but we have felt part of that story from the first minute. There is one thing that unites all Real Madrid athletes, both men and women, which is the desire to improve. Our objective is to win titles to offer them to Real Madrid ”, declared Rosell.

“We are very happy. The work is being done little by little because we can’t run anymore. Girls can finally dream of being Real Madrid players ; that is a pride and a responsibility for us”, she expanded on her work in promoting the club’s women’s team chaired by Florentino Pérez.
