The Chivas del Guadalajara were proclaimed champions of the Closing Tournament 2022 of the Liga MX Femenil on Monday by beating Tuzas del Pachuca in the final series by 4-3, in front of a sold-out house at Akron Stadium.
Despite losing this Monday by 0-1 against Pachuca in the game back, Guadalajara’s 2-4 win in the first leg was enough for Chivas to win the second title in their history .
Guadalajara’s first championship was in the inaugural competition of the Women’s League in the Apertura 2017, a tournament in which they also beat Pachuca in the final.
