Manchester City, smelling of the end of the Premier League of 2012, came from 0-2 to Aston Villa in five minutes and took his fourth league title in the last five years.

Pep Guardiola’s men flirted with disaster during 75 minutes, losing 0-2 due to goals from Matt Cash and Philippe Coutinho, but unleashed a brutal comeback in the last fifteen minutes.

In a space of five minutes, Ilkay Gundogan, with a brace, and Rodri, with a great goal from outside the area, they turned the score around and confirmed that the title, one more season, is light blue.

In the other match where the title was also at stake, Liverpool did their homework and won 3-1, but with some difficulties, against Raúl Jiménez’s Wolverhampton.

It didn’t take long for Sadio Mané to equalize, who defined very well in front of the Wolves goalkeeper after a Thiago Alcántara backheel, but then the match got tangled up.

The 2-1 came with City already beating Villa, so the celebration at Anfield was subdued, at least among the fans, who knew what was happening in Manchester. With the Wolves’ defenses down, Andy Robertson finished off the match, making it 3-1 and placing Liverpool at the end of the season next Saturday against Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

With the title obtained by Manchester City, Pep Guardiola surpassed the three held by José Mourinho and became the non-British manager with the most English leagues.
