There is commotion in Mexico for the attack to a company of messaging and parcel service in the state of Colima, territory of the Jalisco Cartel New Generation (CJNG). A command of drug traffickers broke into the business, shot two employees and then calcinated in broad daylight. One of the bodies of the victims could be rescued before being completely consumed by the flames. According to a video circulating on the internet, a man arrived at the scene, approached the body and said: “Hey Paola, my love”, apparently it was his partner. Although the area where the attack took place is under the control of the CJNG, the authorities have not attributed the aggression, since there are some cells of other criminal groups that compete for the position.

According to Mexican media, the hitmen broke into the business, shot the two women, then launched an explosive device, but seeing that it did not have the expected effect, they detonated another bomb and escaped . The explosion led to a fire that alerted the neighbors, who immediately called the emergency telephone number 100.
Firefighters arrived at the scene to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby businesses, the area was evacuated for a few hours. For their part, staff from the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) raised the bodies and transferred them to the facilities of the Prosecutor’s Office, where they will carry out the corresponding expert tests.

The Mexican authorities revealed in February 2022 that there had been an internal rupture between regional leaders of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. An armed wing known as los Mezcales broke its alliance with the CJNG and became the Independent Colima Cartel.
