Javier Aguirre achieved a new miracle in La Liga: his Mallorca beat Osasuna (0-2) on the last day and saved the permanence in the highest division of Spanish football. The Mexican did it again.

Mallorca won with goals from Ángel Rodríguez to 31′ and from Clement Granier to 83′. It will never be easy to win on the road, and less with the pressure of winning to avoid relegation. But Aguirre’s Mallorca succeeded.

With order, discipline and a lot of courage, the miracle became possible.

Granada finally descended. Cádiz also won, and due to the draw of the first, saved the category.

Aguirre obtained 16 points in 9 games, leading a historic comeback that saved Mallorca from what seemed certain relegation. For the first time since the season 2015/2016, the Majorcans will not descend or ascend.

There will be stability in Mallorca after many years. And they achieved it thanks to Javier Aguirre, who at the time saved Osasuna, Espanyol and Zaragoza. He is the best “fire extinguisher”, there is no doubt about it.

If we take into account the teams he saved in Mexico, the “Vasco” has managed to avoid relegation six times. He is a hero.
