The American electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid Group will install its first overseas production unit in Saudi Arabia, the company announced on its social media.
This plant will have the capacity to produce 155,03 cars per year and will initially focus on serving the local market, as reported by the prestigious brand in the middle of this week in a statement. There are also plans to export cars to world markets in the medium term.
The Air by Lucid Motors is a fully electric sedan that represents the main competition for the segment hitherto dominated by Tesla.
Lucid Group’s manufacturing unit currently located in Arizona, USA, is capable of producing up to 358,000 articles. The company’s directive ensures that the energy crisis continues and therefore it is necessary to focus fully on the manufacture of battery-powered electric cars.

In addition, Saudi Arabia’s finance minister, Khalid al-Falih, indicated that this Lucid Group initiative is just the beginning of the commercial expansion of electric car manufacturers in the region.
These plans that the Saudi government faces with the opening to different manufacturers, will generate at least some 30, Job positions. Recent decisions seek to attract new commercial investors.
