In a “smash and grab” robbery, a group of thieves robbed a jewelry store in Orange County

A jewelry store in Huntington Beach, in Orange County, was robbed at noon this Sunday in a “smash” robbery. and grab”, informed the authorities.

The business that suffered the robbery was the Princess Bride Diamonds , in the Bella Terra shopping center, in 7821 Edinger Avenue, as reported by Huntington Beach police spokeswoman Jennifer Carey.

At approx noon today, a smash & grab incident took place at Bella Terra. No major injuries reported & suspects fled the area. A description of the suspects was not immediately available nor was the number of assailants involved, in addition to the fact that it was not clear how much merchandise or cash the thieves took.

Several employees were present at the time, Carey said. No one was injured, according to a woman who answered the phone at the jewelry store on Sunday afternoon, according to local media reported.

Brian Lam was working at SomiSomi, an ice cream parlor next to the jewelry store, when the robbery occurred.

Lam said that heard three loud noises and then saw a person with something covering his face running south towards the parking lot. Later, Lam looked inside Princess Bride Diamonds and saw at least two glass display cases that had shattered.

Last month , at least two other Orange County jewelry stores suffered hit-and-run robberies.

On April 4th, thieves used hammers to break glass display cases at Kay Jewels in Westminster Mall.

Another branch of that business, in the Brea Mall, also suffered the 15 in April a robbery with the same characteristics.

In each of the robberies , the thieves stole around $200,000 dollars in merchandise.
