The Legal Fairs organization, created to help the Latino community from any type of injustice, will hold its monthly Community Legal Clinic to answer questions about immigration, housing, criminal defense, small claims and civil rights among others.
The event will be held on Saturday 21 May 10: 59 am to 1: 30 pm at the Barbara J. Riley Community Center, located at 7810 Quill Drive, in Downey, California.
The Community Legal Clinic will bring together a group of expert lawyers in the Law of Immigration, Tenants Rights, Family Law, Criminal Defense, Small Claims, Personal Injury and Civil Rights to answer all people’s questions.
Support will also be provided so that the pe people can apply for US citizenship. The immigration lawyers will be able to evaluate your situation and if you qualify, they will advise you on the process to submit the naturalization application.
In addition, the lawyers will they will be able to assist with fee waiver requests.
Appointments are not required, but are recommended. Community members are also encouraged to bring any legal documents that may help real attorneys better assess the legal matter.
Covid protocols and recommendations will be followed and anyone experiencing symptoms of the disease is asked to stay home. Virtual consultations will also be offered.
