Tragic news: a former Barcelona footballer and youth squad dies in a terrible car accident

The world of football started the week with sad news, because Maxi Rolón, a former Barcelona youth squad player, died after suffering a terrible car accident.

The club, through a Twitter message confirmed the death of the young man from 27 years and lamented the loss, as well as showed support and condolences for the relatives of the deceased.

“ We are dismayed by the death of Maxi Rolón, a youth soccer player for FC Barcelona from 1995 to 2016. We express our deepest condolences and send all the support your family. May he rest in peace”, wrote the Barcelona account in his Tweet.

According to different reports, Rolón was in his vehicle with his brother and lost control of his car and finally ended up crashing into a tree.

The player, born in 1995 arrived at the Barcelona academy in 2010 and stayed with the Blaugrana team until 2016 but he was never able to debut with the first team and the highest he reached was Barcelona B.

For his part, he could be called up with the Argentina Sub team 20 and even won a South American Sub championship 20 with the albiceleste.
