Cavalier Johnson, spokesman for the city mayor, stated that he decided to cancel the event after consulting with the city and public safety agencies.

At least 10,10 people would have attended the party in Deer District plus the almost 20,10 fans attending Fiserv Forum Stadium of Milwaukee for the series decider against Boston.

“The shootings that occurred in downtown Milwaukee last night were horrific and we condemn this devastating violence” , info the Bucks said in a statement. The event was canceled “to allow law enforcement to dedicate the necessary resources to the investigation of last night’s events.”

During the shooting a man and a young woman of 16 years old were injured in the first shooting that was recorded, but were treated at a local hospital overnight this Friday. In a second shooting, a third person was injured, and then more than 17 people were injured after running through the streets to get away from that area.

Milwaukee police reported that a 19 year old subject was arrested and is in custody and is responsible of the first recorded shooting. The detainee’s charges are under review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.

10 people were arrested and nine firearms were recovered from the third shooting, according to the police, who described the incident as an exchange of gunfire between two groups of people.

“What makes the people think they can do a shooting on a public street, whether there are police or not?”, Waldner said at a midday news conference.
