The Mexican Army hit Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias el Mencho, snatched five narco-laboratories, behind the corretiza of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) to a convoy of military in the area of Tierra Caliente, in the troubled state of Michoacán, a state located on the Pacific coast. The very president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador , justified that the soldiers who were persecuted and expelled from the municipality of Nueva Italia , had discovered clandestine laboratories for the production of synthetic drugs and organized crime had not been imposed on the Federal Forces as he was questioned, after the leak of a video on social networks.

“They were after them, because they didn’t want let it be known, that they enter a place where we found laboratories”, replied AMLO to Mencho, leader of the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación, for the seizure of several drug laboratories in Michoacán, where the federal government deployed dozens of soldiers in the face of constant clashes between hit men from drug trafficking organizations.
General Luis Cresencio Sandoval also spoke on this subject, Secretary of National Defense: “We identified that something was being hidden, that the population was looking for something, that unarmed social base wanted us not to enter to carry out our task. So, this force conducts ground and air reconnaissance in Tumbiscatío, Múgica and La Huacana, so so that positive results are obtained, four laboratories are located to produce drugs or methamphetamines, four more, and 15 marijuana plantations”.
What did they take from the CJNG?
In the second week of May, a video was released in which Mencho’s assassins are seen chasing a group of soldiers. This unleashed a series of criticisms of the López Obrador government. Days later, the Mexican president defends the Armed Forces and says that the corretiza was because they seized laboratories with nine reactors, capable of producing drugs each 24 hours and a total of 12 million methamphetamine dose.
