Metal strands discovered in candy and candy recall announced in Canada, US and Mexico

Mars Wrigley United States and Canada issued a voluntary recall of numerous jelly beans, saying that there could be a thin strand of metal inside the candies or loose in the bag. The gummies were distributed in Canada, the United States and Mexico.

The company is recalling certain varieties of Skittle Gummies, Starburst Gummies and Life Saver gummies after customer complaints. Mars Wrigley He said in a statement that he is not aware of any illness or injury caused by the metallic threads.

Customers can find out if their product is recalled by reading the first three numbers of the manufacturing code of 10 digits found on the back of the package. Customers can see if it matches the recalled items listed by Mars Wrigley.

“We are working closely with our retail partners to remove any potentially affected products from stores,” said a spokesperson for Mars Wrigley Canada.

Mars Wrigley, which is the world’s leading manufacturer of chocolate, chewing gum, mints and sweets, specified that the products, manufactured by a third party and distributed by Mars Wrigley, are Skittles Gummies and Salvavidas/Life Savers Gummies.

This notice comes less than a month from that the World Health Organization (WHO) issued a series of recommendations related to salmonellosis cases in Europe, possibly due to the consumption of contaminated chocolate.
