The Uruguayan Guillermo Almada, coach of the Mexican soccer team Pachuca, affirmed this Saturday that his team must maintain the rate of scoring that led it to advance to the semifinal of the Clausura Tournament 2022.

In the first quarterfinal match held in San Luis, last Wednesday, the result was a 2-2 draw. In the game held in Pachuca, the locals prevailed with a double from Argentine Nicolás Ibáñez and a goal from his compatriot Gustavo Cabral; Ricardo Chávez and Uruguayan Abel Hernández scored for San Luis. The score of the series in favor of Pachuca was 5-4 .
Just as he praised the forcefulness of his squad, Almada accepted that they failed in the last zone due to the four goals that San Luis scored against them in both parties.

The strategist recognized how difficult it was to overcome a rival who on paper looked like a victim, having occupied the tenth position of the competition, while Pachuca was first.
“San Luis dignified our victory, it was a very tough rival. We ended up defending our arc which is something we didn’t want, but that’s the endgame. San Luis was spectacular in the closing, despite that we were fair winners“.
Guillermo Almada arrived at Pachuca at the start of the Clausura 2022. During the regular tournament he made his team finish as leader with 12 wins, two draws and three losses. In the quarterfinals they already eliminated San Luis and now they expect a rival for the semifinal.
“ We have had an excellent championship and now we cannot get away from it. Although there are no invincible teams in the world, we must grow despite the anxiety that each tie causes us “.
