Having confidence when driving is undoubtedly one of the virtues from which we can take great advantage when being behind the wheel. But overestimating situations that can occur on the road can turn you into a risky driver capable of compromising your safety, that of those who accompany you in the car and that of those who cross paths with you. via.
There are a series of habits that we get used to without realizing it and that, in a certain way, represent an imminent danger. That is why in this note we have prepared a list of six things you should avoid when you are behind the wheel:
- Do not make announcements: when you are behind the wheel you are hidden inside the car so that neither other drivers nor pedestrians can anticipate what your next movements will be unless you indicate them from the appropriate form. To do this you must make correct use of the car’s digital instruments such as the corresponding crosses and lights. If you approach a pedestrian crossing and your crystals can be seen, it never hurts to make a polite signal to people.
- Disrespect traffic signs: signs as common as stop signs, prohibition parking or making a “U” turn, are often ignored by drivers due to overconfidence and also because they believe that they have a total perspective of everything. If the signs are placed in one place it is because everything has been studied and predetermined, if we do not do it properly we put ourselves and those on the road at risk.
Distract yourself with what it happens off the road: many times when driving we pay too much attention to some incident or things that happen out of our way, even slowing down dangerously without realizing it . This habit not only threatens everyone’s safety but also generates unnecessary traffic.
