Ukraine Prosecutor's Office Begins First War Crimes Trial Against Russian Soldier

Russian soldier will be the first to be tried by the Ukrainian authorities for war crimes, after murdering a man from 68 years disarmed on 28 February in the village of Chupakhivka.

This murder for which Shysimarin is being sentenced, occurred when he stole a vehicle to escape from the Ukrainian artillery, along with other soldiers. The Prosecutor’s Office also has the case of another soldier, Mikhail Romanov is accused of forcibly entering a house in the city of Brovarsky to murder the husband and constantly rape occasions the wife threatening her at all times, as well as the children who were present during the atrocious acts that the man committed.
