Marco Fabián is close to having an opportunity again in Europe. The Mexican would meet again with Matías Almeyda, with whom he coincided in the Chivas de Guadalajara. His destination would be AEK Athens, from the first division of Greece.

According to information from journalist Erick López, from Greece there is already communication with Fabián, who was released after finishing his participation with Mazatlán FC in the Closing Tournament 2022 of Liga MX.

Marco Fabián coincided with Matías Almeyda in Chivas. Both know each other and the Argentine strategist did not hesitate to look at the experienced Mexican striker for his new adventure in Greece.

He is not the only Mexican player that Almeyda would have contacted to reinforce his new club: Chicharito and “Chofis” López have also appeared on the radar.

Fabián has not played in Europe since 2019, when he closed his cycle with Eintracht Frankfurt. After months of doubts about his future, and a quick experience in Juárez and Mazatlán, Marco Fabián could return to Europe, raise your level and even enter the selectable universe of El Tri.
