Fabián Ríos naked: “I needed to heal so much vice that one acquires with history when it is so dramatic”

Fabián Ríos began a new adventure in ‘Until Silver Us Separate’, he is ‘El Dandy’, a fresh, mischievous, seductive and very funny character. Something that the Colombian actor confesses to us that he desperately needed

Why? Because Albeiro’s four years in ‘Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso’ and ‘Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso’ left him emotionally charged more than he imagined. In an intimate and exclusive interview, Fabián tells us: “I needed to heal so many vices that one acquires with history when it is so dramatic”.

-From Alberio to a ‘Dandy’ in “Hasta que la plata nos separe”…

Fabián Ríos: This character is too spectacular, I needed to have so much fun in a story, and I’m really enjoying this character a lot Dandy, month is giving you the chance to do whatever you want, not just a script, obviously, alluding to what you read, but to be able to enjoy yourself, make you laugh a lot, it has some ingredients that you are going to love much to men, especially alone. What’s more cool in life than going to work, doing a story like this, and laughing at first and leaving laughing… I come home laughing, and that’s something that hasn’t happened to me in a long time time, and I’m enjoying it like a child, I’m happy.

-You come from a lot of drama, from very strong characters, and very tough, ¿ how do you go on to something fresher?

Fabián Ríos: I think it’s like a process that allows you to walk alone, As soon as I finished “Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso” at 3 months I did a series called “100 Days to Fall in Love”, and there it also came with a strong dramatic burden, because it was a character also with a teenage daughter, and all these problems that entails, and I stopped, precisely, one day before the pandemic, on March 9 on 2020 . It came out perfect, because I said: “I’m going to be calm, I’m going to dedicate my time to the virtual, to my business field, to my family”…

They went by the days, the months and I calmed down, I calmed down, and one also needs to heal, I needed to heal so many vices that one acquires with the story when it is so dramatic, and already a day I got up in the middle of the mirror and said, I’m going to start doing something and I left, we made a movie… I was just calm, I was going to start a tour around the world, and we decided to stop to do it because when I saw it, I read it, I fell in love, a cool character, I haven’t seen a single sad scene from Dandy, on the contrary. I have seen the 2 saddest scenes that he has had, it is the change that he has in his previous life to the new life that he is going to have, like all human beings he has a life lesson and that was also what made me fall in love.

Enjoy in this car store, with my friends, with my colleagues, to be laughing, I’m going to have lunch laughing, the night came laughing, when they already say off the air I say: “Already, that is, the day is over? Is the month over? Is it over? what I’m doing, and that I ratified again because God gave me this talent, because God has helped me to attend to this love for interpreting, and the Dandy gave me back that love that I really needed to ratify, and I am absolutely happy, really too happy, it is as if the Dandy had been born for me.

-Building a fresh character does not mean that don’t involve work, sometimes making people laugh costs more than drama, how did you prepare it?

Fabian Ríos: It is more difficult, in drama there are ingredients that are much easier to deal with, but not in comedy, in comedy you make people laugh or you don’t make them laugh, it is like that, and it is not that this is a gossip or that this is simply a series that makes you laugh, it is a wonderful story that also makes you laugh, because of the things that happen to the characters . There are so many things that happen to Dandy and around him, it’s hard not to laugh. His way of speaking, his conviction that the way he speaks is correct, and nobody can take that away from him, his English courses that he already speaks English to people and it’s not true, his pronunciation, that sometimes the pronunciation is terrible but for him it is correct, his way of thinking towards women for him is an absolute truth and he is wrong, until true love arrives and proves the opposite. It is a spectacular tragicomedy of each of the characters, which will lead people to fall in love.

-What is it like to work with Carmen Villalobos again?

Fabian Ríos: I am the Dandy and the circumstances make me enjoy this character, it doesn’t matter who be by my side, the important thing is that we are all enjoying it, and it is wonderful to work with my colleagues, I have a great time. I baptized the team that surrounds me as ‘La Manada’ because we really are, we are like a pack and we take care of each other, we protect each other, we contribute to each other… Obviously I did come from interpreting to Albeiro, and obviously, Albeiro and Catalina (Carmen Villalobos) were always like the love of youth, etc., but already in this field with Dandy, well, it gives me another opportunity to play, and that is where the iron, the fire, is tested, when one realizes if it was simply an Albeiro and full stop or now it is going to be a big one and a full stop.

-Do you think the public will be able to make the change, stop seeing Alberio?

Fabían Ríos: From the first chapter, from the first parliament, he is an absolutely different character. It’s just that it’s a very nice story, I think that even the tragedy in the story makes one laugh. Here the last word is going to be given by the public both in the United States and in Colombia.

–At the beginning you said you needed time to get your vices and healing, what did you need to remove and what did you purify?

Fabián Ríos: What happens is that I had been playing the same character for four years, with an absolute drama, that a moment had come when I thought there was no more, I’m not going to be able to do more, it was already too much burden on an emotional level, and this pandemic for me was a blessing from God, with all due respect to the others who have suffered, of course I suffered too, but in As far as I’m concerned on a professional level, it gave me a wonderful break, which today has me on the other side of the shore, standing, calm, it has me playing a character that after this one gives me the possibility of doing many more, the challenge it’s simply telling people thank you for having loved Albaeiro, and please look at Da ndy that will also make them fall in love.

-What did you discover about Fabián in that time of purification?

Fabian Ríos: Tenacity, you have to have a lot of tenacity, my family worried me a lot, and I was always aware of them, and I am still aware of them, like a lion with its herd, I disciplined myself much more, I read too much, I trained too much, I learned to feed myself, my body and my soul do not stop falling into anxiety.
