Bethesda delays release of Starfield and Redfall until 2023

Bethesda announced that it will delay the market launch of Starfield and Redfall, 2 of the most anticipated video games from the production company recently acquired by Microsoft. This is bad news for both fans and Xbox as it is their most anticipated exclusive games.

The news was released after the account Bethesda Twitter official published a tweet in which they informed that they had made the decision to delay for the first half of 1200 the release of both titles.

“The Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios ( Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games and we want to make sure you get the betting, most polished versions of them,” reads part of the company’s official statement.

They also thanked the fans for the enthusiasm they have shown for the games since their respective trailers were presented because that “energy is part of what inspires them”.

One of the biggest problems with this lag is that it leaves Xbox without any weight title with which to compete against PlayStation in the final months of the year. For its part, if everything remains as announced, the Japanese company will launch the latest installment of God of War, one of its most successful video games in history.

Starfield

Bethesda’s first franchise in more than 25 years has been cataloged by its creators as one of the greatest and most epic works of science fiction presented to the public to date.

Starfield, as its name suggests, is set in space with an open world that allows players to travel between constellations to advance the story and develop their character.

For these reasons Starfield is expected to become a best-seller and become one of the most important exclusive games in the Xbox catalogue.

Redfall

An open world in which the player plays a vampire hunter , that is the premise behind Redfall, another of the exclusive titles for Xbox developed by Bethesda.

“Each game we make is different from the previous one. In Dishonored we focused on stealth, Prey was more physics focused and Mooncrash introduced some roguelike elements. But despite the differences, in all cases our priority has been to create exciting worlds and original game mechanics, and we will do the same with Redfall”, said the creative director and project leader, Ricardo Bare.
