South Carolina man suffers heart attack while burying body of woman he murdered

The investigation of the agents revealed that a man died of a heart attack when he was burying the body of a woman who had strangled to death.

The police of Edgefield County discovered the lifeless body of a man by the name of Joseph Anthony McKinnon of 54 years that was in the back garden of his address in Trenton.

When the medical authorities arrived at the scene to take McKinnon’s body to the coroner, they found another corpse, that of a woman, inside a recently dug hole.

Patricia Ruth Dent of 65 years old , was also transferred to the forensic doctor where they performed the autopsy of the two cubs erpos.

The doctor’s result was that Ruth Dent died of strangulation and Joseph Anthony McKinnon died of a heart attack.

The evidence collected at the scene allowed Edgefield authorities to reconstruct the events. The couple lived together, McKinnon hanged Dent dead, then tied her up and wrapped in garbage bags, dug a hole in the backyard of the home they shared and when he was trying to bury her, he suffered a heart attack that took his life at the moment.

“The tied and wrapped it in garbage bags before putting it in the previously dug pit. McKinnon was in the process of burying Dent’s body in the grave, when he suffered a cardiac event

who killed him,” explained the Edgefield County Sheriff.

Pamela Briggs, sister of Ruth Dent gave a interview for a South Carolina news program where she confessed that the death of her relative was a very strong blow, especially because of the way she was murdered.

“I’m shocked, I didn’t see any of that coming. Everyone who once knew her, loved her; she was full of energy, she was 60 years old and she worked,” Briggs shared.
