Jody Lukoki, former Ajax footballer who played for the Republic passed away at 29 years after being beaten by members of his family.
According to the Mediotiempo portal, the soccer player had a heated discussion with members of his family and the situation got out of control. Lukoki suffered a cardiac arrest and the doctors could not do anything to save him. The official Twitter account confirmed the news of the unfortunate death.
The aforementioned media ensures that the soccer player entered the hospital in a serious situation and the doctors had to amputate his leg since it was infected. However, during the surgical process, the soccer player suffered a heart attack that complicated the intervention and ultimately lost his life.
After his death, the police opened an investigation to clarify what happened.
Lukoki had been injured for some time and off the playing field after suffering a torn ligament and in his career as a footballer he played for different teams such as SC Cambuur, PEC Zwolle, Ludogorets Razgrad II, Yeni Malatyaspor, but the most recognized was, without a doubt, Ajax from Amsterdam.
