Audio Reveals Prison Officer Vicky White's Last Words to Her Fugitive Lover Before She Killed Herself

An autopsy report performed on former prison officer Vicky White determined that she committed suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and a chilling audio of the 911 revealed her last words.

Police say Vicky shot herself when she and her runaway lover Casey White were captured by police Monday in Evansville, Indiana, ending a manhunt for 11 days.

Recently released 911 audio revealed some of Vicky’s last words to Casey as officers approached the couple’s vehicle.

Vicky seemed to say: “The air bags are going off. Let’s go out and run”.

Then loud clicks are heard before the audio cuts out. It is unknown who called 911 or why the call was made in the first place.

Images from Tuesday Casey was shown being escorted to the Lauderdale County courthouse by a group of officers in bulletproof vests for his arraignment on Tuesday.

Standing at an astonishing six feet nine inches, he saw him in a yellow jumpsuit as they led him to court in handcuffs.

The alleged murderer towered over the squad of guards who escorted him into the building.

Reporters on the scene asked Casey questions, including if he ever loved Vicky or if he planned the escape. He was silent the entire time.

During his court appearance, Casey’s attorneys informed the court that they will file a motion to change the location of their client’s next trial for the murder of Connie Ridgeway.

The trial is scheduled for June and his lawyers said Casey wanted the trial to go ahead despite his advice.

The former fugitive was charged with first-degree flight and only spoke to inform Judge Ben Graves that he had received proper counseling.

A visible gash could be seen on the back of Casey’s shaved head as he sat in the small courtroom. It is the only evidence of the injuries he sustained when the couple’s vehicle overturned on Monday.

The court appearance lasted only 15 minutes, after which Casey was immediately transferred to a state prison in Bessemer.

The pair were placed in a hotel before leading authorities on a brief car chase in Evansville, Indiana, which lasted “ less than a few minutes,” said Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding.

Back in Alabama, where the two disappeared, Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton explained that Casey White was driving the vehicle while Vicky White was a passenger.

Said that at some point during the police chase, his vehicle was involved in an accident. Casey surrendered while Vicky was taken to the hospital.

The two fugitives were expected to be taken back to Alabama to face new charges following their capture.

Casey White was charged with absconding, Singleton said, and Vicky faced multiple charges.

Before his death, Singleton said he hoped Vicky would survive and that the Alabama authorities wanted his answers.

“We don’t wish him no harm to Vicky in terms of health or well-being, but she has some answers to give us”, he said.

“I had all my trust in Vicky White. She had been an exemplary employee. And what the hell caused her, or prompted her, to come up with something like this, I don’t know. I don’t know if we will ever know”.

The vehicle they were driving in is believed to have been stolen in Tennessee and drove nearly 175 miles to Evansville, investigators said.

Photos of an abandoned blue Ford F150 were released by US Marshals on Monday. The vehicle was found in an Evansville car wash.

The alleged lovers Casey and Vicky led the police in a manhunt for days after the two escaped from the Lauderdale County Jail, Alabama around 9: 30 am on 29 April.

Vicky, from 56 years old, was captured on surveillance video holding the door open for a chained inmate, from 30 years, with a second angle showing them getting into a patrol car and driving away.

The sheriff’s patrol seen in the surveillance video was found in the parking lot of a local mall, and neither of the Whites were in sight.

The two are not related despite having the same last name.

As Deputy Director of County Corrections Or, Vicky “was frequently in the cell blocks, she has contact with all the inmates at one time or another,” Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton told CNN.

A Through their investigation, detectives learned that Vicky sold her house for less than the market price and was ready to retire from her job as a senior corrections officer on the day the couple disappeared.

On the day of the prison break, Vicky told her colleagues around 9 am that she would be taking White, a murder suspect, to the county courthouse for a mental health evaluation.

She also told her co-workers that she felt sick and was planning to see a doctor afterwards.

No one noticed the two were missing until around 3: 30 pm

As the search intensified, the police warned the public ico that the two were considered dangerous and that they could be armed with an AR-rifle 15, pistols and a shotgun .

Following his disappearance in northwest Alabama, An arrest warrant was issued for Vicky on charges of allowing or facilitating flight in the first degree. Singleton initially told reporters that while it was clear that Vicky participated in White’s escape, it was unclear if she did so voluntarily.
