It is nothing new that Bad Bunny becomes the topic of conversation thanks to its risky lyrics or Latin rhythms. However, with the release of her new album “Un Verano Sin Ti”, she has left her mouth open thanks to the song “Andrea”, which tells the sad story of a young Puerto Rican victim of a femicide.

In her new record material, Benito spoke about the case that shocked his native Puerto Rico, that of Andrea Ruíz. And it was in the year 2021 when the streets of said island rose up in demonstrations after the femicide of the woman of 34 at the hands of your ex-partner.

According to reports, Andrea Ruíz had requested a restraining order from her victimizer, Miguel Ocasio, after having sued the physical and psychological abuse she suffered during their relationship.

However, the judge in charge of the case dismissed the request for “lack of reasons”. A month later, Ocasio would have admitted to having murdered her and after the incident, he took his own life in his cell.

The case shocked the Puerto Rican people so much that it echoed to the ears of Bad Bunny, who in a song that has left the whole world open-mouthed, has decided honor the young

“ She doesn’t want a flower, she just wants it not to wither ; that when she buys bread, they don’t ask for it. Don’t ask her what she did yesterday, and invite her to a beautiful future… Give her respect, and never take it away

”, is heard in a verse of the song.

This is not the first time that the singer of 28 years old speaks out against violence against women, because let us remember that in the music video for her song “Yo Perreo Sola” included a neon sign with the inscription ‘Ni Una Menos’ , as well as a reflection on respect for the female gender.
