After the singer had a great start to the year with the premiere of “Marry Me”, his film with Jennifer López and Owen Wilson, and his great concert in his native Medellín, Maluma announced that he wants to do his “grain of sand” and help many families in this city to have their own home.
With the company LaHaus, the interpreter of “Hawaii” will work on a campaign called “A Haus for Medallo City”. According to the newspaper “El Colombiano”, both the organization and the singer will donate approximately one million dollars for the first stage of this project, although it is now unknown how much will need to be completed.
First, the project will focus on creating a plan defining the location, the family selection methodology and the construction process, as mentioned LaHaus on his Twitter account. Additionally, they shared a video of Maluma talking about the start of the campaign and his goal.
“Today a change begins in my city, the city in which we all feel at home, but where unfortunately not everyone has a house”, were the words of the reggaeton player, who also assured that he wants “every person in Medallo City to have their own house”.
It is not the first time that Maluma has had such an initiative in Medellin, since With his foundation “Arte de los Sueños” he helps young Colombians in vulnerable situations to obtain means of expressing themselves through urban art.
