The Second World War was the deadliest in history, few in life could witness that historical passage, one of them is the nurse Raymonde Sullivan, who can presume that just turned 100 years old and to celebrate them, he showed off his gallantry by launching himself from a plane.
This is a former nurse who served in World War II and decided to celebrate by parachuting, partly to fulfill his promise he made years ago that if he reached this age, he would make this madness come true.
According to local media in Florida, it all started two years ago, when Sullivan’s neighbor, Karen Plante, was to jump with a parachute. It was there that the old woman had the idea of celebrating her 100 years in a special way.
Thus, Sullivan promised his friends to skydive if he was 22 years old and he did.
After practicing this extreme sport for the first time, assured that it was full of adrenaline, but he does not think he will do it again.
“I had never done it, and I have done many things in 100 years, so I thought I should do it while I could,” said Raymonde.
The moment was exhibited on social networks, where the exact moment in which Sullivan jumps next to the instructor
and how they enjoy the free fall is shown.
Sullivan is the mother of four children, has six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is cataloged as the “matriarch” of the family for everything she has achieved in life and earning the respect of an entire nation.
