Days after purchasing Twitter for $54, 000 millions of dollars, billionaire Elon Musk would have planned to put the company up for sale.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Tesla’s CEO would have told potential investors in the social network of his intentions to return the company to public ownership in a few years.

Close sources said that Musk plans to make an offer within three years, after the purchase is definitively closed, made at the end of April this year, and which is subject to conditions of approval by Twitter shareholders and regulators.

Although it is unknown what the intentions are that the also CEO of Space X has with Twitter, the billionaire has tried to convince investors to quickly increase profitability of the company and make it more attractive.

Among some of the rumors that have emerged, it is said that Musk would seek to quadruple the number of users of the platform and quintuple the current level of income, in addition to reducing as much as possible the dependence that the company has on advertising, says The New York Times.

Although Musk has not specifically talked about the strategy he will carry out, he has been clear that he wants to avoid “censorship” in the network, alluding to the content moderation policies.

Musk is currently in contact with the investment funds to be able to pay the $ 21,000 millions that he promised to give as his own funds in exchange for acquiring the social network. One such fund is the company Apollo Global Management.
