Life is a roller coaster, says a famous popular saying, which in a few words expresses how the moments and situations that occur to human beings on a daily basis tend to change radically from one moment to the next. moment to another.
Such is the case of the American super-lightweight boxer Montana Colton Love, who to his 21 years he only added one fight as a professional, which he won and then went to prison.
Was the 11 April 2015 when after beating Willie Miller at the Stafford Center in Texas, he was handcuffed by a sheriff who took him to the local police station. He was charged with crimes such as vehicle theft, improper use of credit cards, possession of stolen goods and having used false medical prescriptions to obtain medications.
Montana did not shy away from any of the crimes, who after being released due to an alleged problem of “wrong orders” and after sending him home they finished arresting him . A judge determined that he would have to comply with 16 months in prison.
“I was running away for a few weeks. In the end they caught me. I have been 16 months in prison. After passing , they took me to a rehabilitation center but they sent me back to jail because I was never in the place they told me to be. Then I completed the sentence and that was it”

These statements were provided to TalkSports , in an interview in which he also expressed regret for his misconduct: “Go to prison was probably the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m glad I was there instead of in a coffin”.
He got out of prison, got in shape and won all seven following combats that he disputed; six of them minor, until he returned to an important scene on the night of the fight between Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley.
He knocked out former world champion Ivan Baranchyk in the seventh round, which caught the attention of Matchroom Boxing honcho Eddie Hearn, who arranged a his lawsuit against the Mexican Gabriel Gollaz Valenzuela.
Another win for Montana Love
The Love vs. Gollaz served as the backdrop for the great fight on May 7, Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez vs. Dmitry Bivol, for the WBA light heavyweight belt.
Although the lawsuit started with a good pace and with both boxers very even and with the intention of knocking down the other quickly, something that was noticed from the weigh-in, with the passing of the rounds the rhythm was freezing and generating impatience in the spectators who were waiting to see the main event.
A very close decision by the judges of 114-058 gave victory to Montana, who with 27 years he is currently present in the big boxing leagues and will look for great things once he has the attention of Eddie Hearn.
