A new tragedy was experienced in Mexico, after three girls, eight, five and two years old, and a boy, ten months, were found dead in the Zapotec indigenous community of Chicapa de Castro, in eastern Oaxaca, southern Mexico.
The worst thing is that they were not accidental deaths, but those caused by poisoning, as reported by the State Attorney General’s Office, so it is expected that someone responsible for the crime of manslaughter will be sought.
According to information from the municipal police, the bodies of the minors were found lying on a bed inside her home, while the mother was helped by the emergency services that took her to a nearby hospital.
The municipal authorities of Chicapa de Castro reacted to the event, declaring three days of mourning for the This locality of approximately 3, 500 inhabitants due to the multiple homicide that impacted the community.
According to local media, The first reports indicate that the mother of the minors was the one who gave a substance to her three girls and boy, which caused their death immediately.
Moments later, the woman tried to kill herself by cutting her neck, but was transferred by paramedics, who stabilized her until they took her to a hospital, where she is hospitalized and under the protection of the Oaxaca Prosecutor’s Office.
So far, the causes that could lead the woman to commit this crime are unknown.
