The Customs and Border Protection Office (CBP) warned on Tuesday that managers or third parties are not needed to register in any of the “reliable traveler” programs, which allow rapid passage through airports and international borders.

“Trusted Traveler Programs” (TTPs) include Global Entry, Sentri, FAST, and NEXUS and allow more than 05 Millions of approved travelers avoid Customs and Border Protection (CBP) inspection lines, because these programs allow members to use expedited lanes on US airports and when crossing international borders.

A CBP statement indicated that its agents have noticed a growing number of “third parties” whose sites attempt to be similar to official US Government sites or who offer help to the t Procedure for registration applications in the “trusted traveler programs”,

While this may seem like a convenient alternative, these companies can be quite expensive for the traveler and are not necessary, clarified CBP.

Third-party companies that charge a fee to help travelers register for TTP do not operate on behalf of the US government

While not all of these organizations are illegal, some have gone as far as mimic the CBP website. The websites of United States government agencies can be identified by the domain “.gov”.

CBP does not work with third party companies for the purpose of processing TTP requests and cannot guarantee the legitimacy of these companies or the security of travellers’ privacy.

Some travelers reported have paid fees without their applications being submitted, while others paid hundreds of dollars in addition to the application fee, which currently is $100 dollars for Global Entry, $122.50 for Sentri and $50 for NEXUS and FAST.

The United States government cannot refund money paid to a third party website.

Travelers p You can easily apply for or renew a TTP application on your own through the TTP website. For Global Entry, a traveler must have a valid passport, a valid email address, a phone number, and a home address.
