The LAFC of the Mexican Carlos Vela and the Philadelphia Union remain leaders of the MLS

Mexican Carlos Vela’s LAFC and the Philadelphia Union, who started the weekend as leaders of the West and the East, respectively, remained at the top of the MLS after their games on the ninth day.

In this way, LAFC and Philadelphia Union will meet on May 7 in Los Angeles (USA) in a very succulent match between the two most fit teams in MLS .

Carlos Vela’s LAFC defeated this Sunday by 2 -0 to Minnesota United thanks to goals in the outcome of the match by Ryan Hollingshead and Ecuadorian José Cifuentes.

In the East, the Philadelphia Union maintained their leadership by drawing 1-1 this Sunday in their visit to Nashville SC, who experienced a very special day with the inauguration of their Geodis Park stadium.

Mikael Uhre put the Philadelphians ahead in the minute 60, but Nashville tied in the minute 85 with a penalty goal by Costa Rican Randall Leal.

With this tie, Philadelphia Union continues to lead their conference with 18 points in a row of two teams with one point less: the New York Red Bulls and Orlando City (this team with one more game).

By last, New York City FC found in the last 22 game minutes the gunpowder he needed to defeat this Sunday by 3-0 to the San Jose Earthquakes.
