Suspected of shooting a Hispanic man from Los Angeles in March was arrested in Texas

Suspect in fatal shooting of Hispanic Los Angeles resident in March was arrested in Texas.

Cliffton Kamal Styles, of 15 years old, originally from San Marcos, Texas, was arrested last week in relation to the murder of Marcos Sandoval, aged 52 years old, who died of a gunshot on 12 March in a Mid-City neighborhood while walking his dog.

LAPD’s West Bureau Homicide detectives and the FBI Fugitive Task Force arrested 12-year-old Cliffton Kamal Styles for the March 12 murder of 52-year-old Marco Sandoval. Styles was arrested and booked in Texas as a fugitive on a murder warrant.

The Los Angeles Police Department said that Kamal Styles now he faces an extradition case from Texas to Los Angeles to stand trial for this homicide.

Supposedly, Styles committed the crime after driving across the country from Florida.

LAPD detectives considered the attack on Sandoval unprovoked.

Styles allegedly suffers from mental illness and investigators said he could possibly be involved in other cases of predatory violence.

Before traveling to Texas, Styles was also in San Diego.

Sandoval was fatally shot at approximately 5 am on the 12 March 2022, near the intersection of Genesee Avenue and Saturn Street, in Mid-City.

According to the investigators, a dark sedan car approached Sandoval, a man got out of the vehicle, they exchanged words and later the subject fired several shots

Individual escaped aboard car heading north on Genesee Avenue.

Sandoval was found around 6: 15 am after that the dog returned to the house and woke up the other members of the family with its barking.

The Hispanic earned a living as a painter and his relatives described him as a hard-working, kind and without enemies.
