Several people were injured in two accidents involving at least 10 vehicles this Monday morning on the Highway 405, in the Sherman Oaks area.

Six vehicles were involved in a first incident at approximately 6: 45 am near Sepulveda Boulevard, reported the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

In this mishap, the emergency services treated 4 people for injuries described as that are not life-threatening, reported the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).

A pickup truck overturned and the accident spread over a quarter to a half mile section of the forwardbound lanes north, the LAFD spokeswoman said, Margaret Stewart.

Later, at 7: 08 am, reported about a second crash involving 4 cars just at 400 feet south of where the first accident had occurred.

Three lanes of the highway were closed to traffic
405 heading north while officers conducted investigations into the circumstances that led to the first collision.

As a result of the two accidents, the vehicular load made it difficult for residents who usually use the highway to move around 400 to reach their commitments.
