The Police version indicates that Siderio reportedly fired a gun at the car and then ran away, followed by the officers.

After the Police fired several shots, one of which hit Siderio in the back, although the prosecutor said that the videos of the incident show that the minor was possibly already lying on the ground.

For the moment of the last two shots Siderio was unarmed as he had disposed of his pistol about 13 meters from the place where he was shot, according to the prosecutor.

“In that distance there were several vehicles parked and some empty parking spaces,” Krasner said. “Thomas Siderio had stopped running and possibly given up when he was shot.”

“So when Agent Mendoza fired the third shot, which was fatal, he knew that Siderio, of 12 years, 1.52 meters of height and 50 kilograms of weight, he no longer had a weapon or the ability to injure him
“, said Krasner.

Mendoza was arrested this Monday morning and remains detained without bail. There will be a preliminary hearing on the case on 16 May.

The charges were filed two months after Philadelphia Police Chief Danielle Outlaw ordered Mendoza fired for rape of the Police Department instructions on the use of force.
