There are only days left for the fight between the Mexican Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez against the Russian Dmitry Bivol and in boxing the only thing that is being talked about is that fight that will be held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas this Saturday, May 7.

The respected businessman and boxing promoter, Bob Arum, shared his forecast for the clash. With all the weight of your experience of more than 40 years in the business of this sport, predicted that the “warrior” Saúl Álvarez will be too much for Bivol .

“He is a warrior and has a great coach like Eddy Reynoso, so I think it is too much for Bivol”

Arum also disqualified and highlighted Bivol in equal parts. On the one hand, he considered him “a good fighter”, but that “he is not a real puncher”

, something that contradicts the analyzes on the Russian’s punch and for which Eddy Reynoso increased the intensity of Canelo’s physical training.

Regarding future plans to organize a fight with Canelo in the ring, the founder and president of Top Rank did not hide his intentions for the man from Guadalajara to face the winner of the fight to unify the WBO light heavyweight belts, WBC and IBF, between Artur Beterbiev and Joe Smith next June.

But although it has not been officially announced, Arum must know something boxing fans don’t: a fourth fight between Canelo and Gennady Golovkin:

“He has an obligation to fight Golovkin, so we would be talking about May of next year for a possible unification in the 100 pounds”

For the Mexican, this Saturday’s fight will be very special since it will take place on the weekend of the Battle of Puebla, a very special date for the Aztec boxers.
