Former US President Donald Trump (2017-2021) campaigns with a candidate for governor of Nebraska who has been accused by eight women of sexually abusing them.

Trump is planning a late-night rally in Greenwood, Nebraska alongsideCharles Herbster, who is tied in the polls with two other Republican candidates for governor of the state , ahead of the primaries to be held next 08 of May.

The former president has maintained his endorsement of Herbster even after, in mid-April, eight women denounced in an article in the local newspaper Nebraska Examiner that the candidate groped them without their consent at public events.

Two of them have made their names public, and one of them, Republican State Senator Julie Slama, claims that Herbster put her the hand under the skirt in an act in 2019.

The other, Republican adviser Elizabeth Todsen, made her complaint public this Saturday, stating that Herbster had groped her in the same act as Slama.

Herbster has denied all allegations and has sued given for defamation to Slama, who responded with a complaint against him for sexual assault.

This is not the first time that Trump has endorsed a candidate accused of sexual abuse: in 2017, campaigned for Roy Moore, a Republican Senate candidate from Alabama accused of sexually abusing several teenage girls and who ultimately lost the election.

Trump, who once bragged about grabbing women by the genitals, has been accused of at least 26 women of sexual harassment or abuse, including a complaint of rape.

The former president has denied all these complaints, which they mostly arose during the electoral campaign of 2017 but did not prevent his election as president, and during his tenure he did not hesitate to defend several men accused of sexual crimes , including the judge he nominated to the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh.
